Long story short is that I’ve asked our Newton Community to share with Newton software on CDs. A lot of us have much original software, demos, documentation, etc. on CDs. I thought that could be good to make CD images and share around our community.
So, here you have CD images with Newton software I was able to collect so far: http://software.applenewton.co.uk
That list will be updated as a few great Newton Users constantly share their software collections content.
Big thanks to Grant, Charles, Ralph, and others!
If you have some CDs with Newton software, and you want to share, please use that dropbox to upload your images (Please send ISO or DMG images only).
What’s the best way to share our files?
Hi Doug, the last sentence of this article contain link to my Dropbox folder, where you can upload your images. Please do not upload anything else except ISO or DMG images of your CDs.
This is so great! Thanks a lot for your effort.
These images can be easily mounted in emulatoped macOS classic via sheepshaver, because some of them are not working with macOS X.
I already found a lot of nice software.
Hi, some of the images are made on modern computers (DMG images), so you need to transfer the content to the old system somehow.
I get “permission denied”. Is the collection of software no longer available? Looks like it was working in April, but now it is July. Did something change?
It is working now.
